Normal Fireworks Selling Period
Unless you have an all year round explosives licence you will have to stick to the Explosives Regulations selling period.
The Explosives Regulations permits the sale of fireworks during the following periods only.
Bonfire Night – (15th October – 10th November)
New Year – (26th December – 31st December)
Chinese New year – (On the first day of Chinese New Year and the 3 days immediately before it)
Diwali – (On the first day of Diwali and the 3 days immediately before it)
On Bonfire Night ( 5th November) it is legal to set off fireworks up to midnight 12am.
For New Years, Chinese New Year and Diwali you can set off fireworks up to 1am.
It is illegal to set off fireworks between 11pm – 7am on all other days.

You can be fined up to £5,000 and imprisoned for up to 6 months for selling or using fireworks illegally. You could also get an on-the-spot fine of £90.
